The Campus Defense Coalition for Palestine (CDC4P) is a network of organizations that can offer information, support, and resources for faculty and instructors under attack for Palestine solidarity activism and BDS organizing on campus. The groups involved include:
International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN)
Jewish Voice for Peace’s Academic Advisory Council
National Lawyers Guild (NLG)
Open University Project
USACBI (US Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel)
As the Palestine solidarity movement has grown on campuses and BDS campaigns have sprung up around the nation, anti-BDS and Israel lobby groups have resorted to tactics of repression, intimidation, and silencing to stem the rising tide of successes for the movement. The organizations in this coalition aim to provide solidarity and information, including educational materials, to faculty and instructors, including graduate students and contingent faculty, and to build a network of support.
The aim of CDC4P is to help faculty and instructors gain full awareness of the legal, political, and academic resources available. We are committed to refusing Zionist attempts to create a culture of fear and repression. We also believe in a political approach to defense against backlash that is rooted in affirming the progressive, antiracist, and anticolonial imperatives of Palestinian solidarity activism.
